“HOW TO RUN” PRESENTATION TO BE OFFERED

The Fairfield Democratic Town Committee will be offering a short presentation during the February 2nd DTC meeting to help prospective candidates prepare a successful campaign.

Presenters will include Brian O'Gara, the RTM Majority Leader, and Sue Brand of the Board of Education and Candidate Development Committee, who will discuss and answer questions about what holding local elective office entails.

Other topics will include issues relevant to RTM and townwide campaigns, such as developing a campaign plan, contacting voters, raising funds, and producing campaign materials.

Potential candidates do not require prior experience campaigning to take advantage of this presentation, and the meeting is open to the public.

The meeting will be held at Osborn Hill School, 760 Stillson Road, at 7:30pm on February 2nd.

 

DTC OPEN TO TOWNWIDE CANDIDATES

The Democratic Town Committee has begun seeking registered Democrats interested in running this year for one of the following open seats in the November election:

All interested Democrats are encouraged to attend the February 2 DTC meeting, to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Osborn Hill School.

All potential candidates will have an opportunity to address the executive committee and the DTC in the months leading up to the nominating convention which will be held during the third week of July.
